The sooner the better, so many people are holding off getting a Mac so they can get one preloaded with Leopard or at least one that will have a free upgrade.

Here is an Article on why Leopard is hurting Mac sales:

Tom, 10.4.9 is being worked on for the folks that won't update to 10.5 when it's released. There will be many that do not update. Even though it's way cheaper than Vista, it's still pretty expensive to update.

Apple will continue to update 10.4 well past when 10.5 is released. There will be a point in time when 10.4.x will stop being suppored, but that will be probably a year at least. Remember, even Microsoft hasn't stopped updating XP just because Vista has shipped. XP will continue to be supported until 2013 or 2014 (I can't remember now).

With all due respect, how the hell should an analyst know when Leopard is being shipped? Those people are usually pretty damn clueless even when it comes to common sense, let alone making educated guesses on when Apple would release something.

So far, there's only Timeline, Spaces and Core Animation. Where are all the big secrets Jobs promised? I've seen the developer builds and there's not much in Leopard to brag about yet.

Has it occored to anyone that OS X 10.4.9 which apple has seeded to developers hasn't been released yet? Why would apple spend all this time working on 10.4.9 only to release 10.5? I would love to eat my words and see leopard in a couple of weeks, but it's just not going to happen.

Yeah I know the INTERCAL deal was just a blog joke. I included it cause I thought it was funny. Maybe I should have made that a little more clear, but as David said, it's there for anyone who wants to read it.

As for CS 3 -- I updated the story because Adobe has made it clear that although the terms "release" and "launch" have been used in conjunction with the March 27 date (and analysts subsequently predicted that the product would actually ship on that date or shortly after), what they really meant was that they are going to "announce" the details of the product.

Leopard is going to be released the same as it always was, not any sooner like some think. It's way to buggy and CS3 is only going to be announced. The releases will probably be almost right around the same time. Not much new here.
