The iTunes account isn’t going to make a single bit of difference for Steve’s intended market. Most iPhone buyers are going to have an iPod and an iTunes account already, anyway. Besides, iTunes is the best deal in digital music, by far, especially since the inclusion of DRM-free music and video. There are also rumors that the iTunes setup is [i]in leiu[/i] of a standard activation, which would make it much easier to activate than most do-it-yourself systems, though not much easier at a cingular store. I’m going to bet that if you get your phone at AT&T, they’re probably trained to help you set that up before you leave the store. I’d hope so, anyway.
