"Penultimate" doesn't mean "ultimate of ultimates" it means "second to last."

Well the Ps3= Sony
Sony like to lie... lol
Look at the ps2 tech demos, nothing close to that ever appeared on the console...
When they revealed the ps2 they said it could Push 66 million Polygons a Second with its Emotion Engine, Well if it had to Display anything this fell to about 15 million, if it had to have textures, lighting, movement or any calculation it dropped even further...
Essentially Ps3 core is good, very good, but not what sony claim...

Do you think NASA will let me buy that computer from them? I have about $800, I think that sounds fair.

interesting thought that popped into my head, it has 13 tereflops of processing power (that is a lot). According to Sony teh PS3 has 2 tereflops of power. So that means that NASA could have just connected 7 PS3s together right? 7 * 8 (# of SPUs in a PS3) = 56. Somehow 56 Cell cores and the RAM to go with it is as powerful as 2,048 Intel Itanium cores with 4TB of RAM. Something doesn't seem to add up here.
