It may be the most obvious conclusion to a question that didn’t need a study to answer. Will video downloads over the internet grow? Umm… yes. Yes they will.
Not good enough for you? Then here’s the official response from Adams Media Research President Tom Adams.: “The Internet is going to revolutionize the distribution of video.” Thank you very much Captain Obvious. You can get a few more of their findings here on CNN.com
There’s little doubt that services like Amazon’s Unbox and Apple’s iTunes will be successful, it’s the future afterall.

I love obvious studies like these, some people spend a long time studying things that are so obvious.

Video content is going to dominate the internet landscape in time, but i the next revolutionary step will be touch sensitive interactivity.

Obvious shobvious.
Internet download of videos is still in the HYPE cycle. To think that the average buyer of movies who shops at Walmart is geek enough to know how to download a movie and burn it to a DVD is wishful thinking.
The Walmart shopper to a large degree thinks Burning a DVD will keep them warm.
Unless the price of an internet downloaded movie is less than $3.00 and is easy to be played there is no real obvious reason how it would change the current paradigm.
Sure Internet downloads of videos through sites like Pirate Bay or other “not so legal” sites shall probably grow and possibly the pirate business model should be looked at as a viable business model.
